Daniel E. Kornfeld, a Partner with Blitman & King, was recently appointed by the A.F.L.-C.I.O. to serve on the Planning Committee to design and implement a legal education program for labor lawyers in connection with the 2010 L.C.C. Northeast Regional Meeting in New York City. Topics for the meeting include recent regulatory and judicial developments as well as strategies for improving wages and working conditions while stimulating economic development. The A.F.L.-C.I.O. Lawyers’ Coordinating Committee (L.C.C.) was founded to better the conditions of working men and women and their families by enhancing the quality of legal representation that is available to the A.F.L.-C.I.O. and the national, international, and local unions affiliated with the A.F.L.-C.I.O. The L.C.C. is comprised of more than 1,700 union-side labor lawyers in more than 500 firms and union legal departments nationwide.
